Biography

Jordan DeSilva is a Native American actor based in Joliet, Illinois. She recently graduated with her BA in Theatre Arts from Illinois Wesleyan in May 2025. She recently performed in her first professional theatre in Much Ado About Nothing as Hero. Her previous Illinois Wesleyan credits include All My Sons (Lydia Lubey), The Wolves (#8), The Duchess of Malfi (AD), and 3x3 Endings/Beginnings (AD).

My Story

Growing up, I never had an outlet that I truly connected to. I was raised in a house full of athletes, so sports were a huge part of my life. That is until I experienced my first middle school production. I found myself connected to what I was doing and overall overjoyed with the experience that I was having as an artist, that wasn't sports related. I grew up as a quiet person, but when I am onstage, I feel alive. I remember my teachers, peers, and family telling me how I am a different person onstage. Telling a story from within me that they didn't know I was capable of. That feeling, that spark, that I had within continues to grow and push me. Performing lets me tell stories that I can connect to and, hopefully, connect to others.
